Safety, security & insurance

We recognise as a priority our responsibility to ensure the safety and well being of all participants in the Rugby Camps. There will be designated medical professionals at each Rugby Camp with responsibility for first aid and dealing with any injuries which may occur.

Every coach participating in the Martin Johnson Rugby Camps programme will have undertaken a Child Protection Awareness Programme and completed an Enhanced CRB Disclosure. Each coach will be fully aware of responsibilities relating to the general welfare of all young people who attend the course and will be confident and competent in managing all situations which may arise. We also have a child welfare officer in situ at each venue to ensure that each child’s well being is a top priority.

Due to the age range and mixed ability at the Rugby Camps, it will be necessary to divide the participants by age, ability and size. This division aims to ensure that situations do not arise where children are mismatched physically and aims to lessen the risk of serious injury.
